So, that gives me about a week to think further about solutions to the challenges of resettling with my son. Here they are, in no particular order.

Among the conditions frequently associated with ASDs (Autistic Syndom Disorder), there is sleeping issues.

My son takes melatonin every night; this has improved his condition, but nothing does miracles. So, tonight, it did not work out so well. He's been babbling, wide awake, for about an hour, in his bed.

The special shampoo for my son's scalp problem has been discontinued. The one that would be the most efficient is Nizoral, but it is for adults and children of 12 and more. I found another one that I will try. Also, the melatonin is not covered by insurance, as it is not listed in the Canada list of medication. So, I will continue to pay for the ( Read more... )

Yesterday was my son's return to school. He was not overly ecstatic about it, especially after the sweet days we spent together and the holidays, but he didn't make a fuss about going back to school either. Bless his heart.

I know the exact day it started because it's the first Saturday after my son and I received the H1N1 vaccine.
December 5th.

It started with sore throat. No big deal.
Then came sneezing. Predictable.
Then followed runny nose. Of course.
Then light cough. Makes sense.
